We are located in Preston City center on Friargate. There are a number of available car parks nearby within a few minutes walking distance. Check our directions page for more information.

How long does it last ?

Our intense scare maze – Black Void lasts around 12- 15 minutes*.

The immersive Séance experience – Transcendent also lasts approximately 12-15 minutes*.

However we recommend planning at least a couple of hours into your night to give your self time to enjoy a cocktail and calm your nerves. There may also be a waiting period for attractions during busy or peak times.

*approximate times only, these may vary depending on multiple factors.

Who is this event not suitable for?

If you are pregnant, suffer with panic attacks or have issues with strobe lighting, smoke, walking or mobility we would strongly suggest that this event isn’t for you. You may be required to walk on uneven surfaces, crawl, enter enclosed spaces and darkened areas and obviously need to be OK with being scared.

What is Fear Factory Live?

Is it suitable for Children?

We recommend 12+ but you know your children better than us; if they’re easily scared, it’s probably not for them, if they enjoy horror films, bring them down! Children under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult at all times and anyone under 12 will not be admitted.

Will the actors touch me?

No. We run a don’t touch us and we won’t touch you policy.

If I get scared, can I leave?

You’re free to leave the bar at any time but once you have started our immersive walkthrough or experience, it is a one-way system; so when you begin you have to experience the whole thing. Don’t worry, if there is an emergency, we will ensure you all get out safely.

Will I need a coat or warm clothes?

Fear Factory is all inside so the weather is no issue for us! However, it is still October and it can get chilly in the winter. We would recommend you bring a coat or dress warmly especially if it’s cold outside.

Will I have to wait or queue for a long time?

All tickets have an allocated 30 minute time slot. We suggest you arrive around 15 minutes before your time slot so that we can get groups through as smoothly as possible. Groups are invited into the experience every 5 minutes by group number. You will be allocated to a group number upon arrival and you’ll need to listen out for our Group Manager who will get you organised and ready to go. Don’t worry though, we’re not fans of a queue either so we offer a relaxed digital waiting system in our bar where you can purchase cool, horror themed cocktails, drinks and bar snacks to keep you occupied.

Is there food and drink?

We have our famous incredible themed cocktails and drinks courteous of Gateway Bar, but this year we will only be serving snacks, not food.

Can I take photos or videos?

No. Inside the walkthrough, we operate a strict no photography, recording or filming policy. Anyone caught filming or using a recording device, will be removed from the experience and asked to leave without refund. However, you are welcome to take as many photos of our drinks and your friends in our themed bar. Please be sure to tag us in them when you post them online! Use the hashtag #fearfactorylive
